DAR Bicol Names New Key Officials

In a turn-over ceremony, Regional Director Luis B. Bueno, Jr. accepted his new post in DAR Region V, replacing RD Maria Celestina Manlagñit–Tam, who is now Director of the Legal Service at the DAR Central Office.


“I thank Bicol for its warm welcome and I am looking forward to serving the Bicolanos in the best of my abilities,” Bueno said. He also appealed for stronger unity and commitment among the ranks as the implementation of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Extension with Reforms (CARPER) is nearing its completion.

Director Tam on her part, thanked her fellow Bicolanos for their support during her six-year tenure as DAR-Bicol’s head. “The experience prepared me for bigger challenges that DAR management will entrust me in the future,” Tam said.

Other officials for Region V are: Jesus dela Rosa, PARO II for Camarines Norte;   Leonito Gaveria, who now heads Camarines Sur A; and Felix Fruto as OIC-PARO II of Sorsogon.

Meanwhile, Ramon Fuentebella of Camarines Sur B; Alex Teves of Catanduanes; Romulo Britanico of Albay; and Samuel Ongcal of Masbate were retained in their PARO posts. Atty. Leo Miguel Ramos stays as the Assistant Regional Director for Administration (ARDA).

The movements are in consonance with the implementation of the approved DAR Rationalization Plan, which is designed to establish a mission-focused organizational structure.
