Four Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBOs) in Camarines Norte will finally get hold of almost 6 million worth of financing through the Agrarian Production Credit Program (APCP) of the DAR–DA-LBP. APCP is a socialized credit program for ARBs funded by the Office of the President through the Department of Agriculture. It is designed to respond to the needs of ARBs on Agricultural Crop Production, Agri-enterprise and livelihood projects.
This good news was personally announced by Dr. Henry A. Orbita, Account Officer of the Land Bank of the Philippines Camarines Lending Center in a meeting called purposely for the target ARB Organizations last March 5, 2014 at DARPO Conference Hall.
Dr. Orbita tackled among others the final briefing, loan counseling, and signing of pertinent pre-release loan documents as required by the Land Bank of the Philippines. A representative from the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation or PCIC discussed also the crop insurance policy for possible consideration of the ARBOs.
The 6 million pesos approved credit line for ARBOs is intended to finance agricultural production for Sta. Elena Farmers MPC (2.7M) & Daet Talisay River Irrigation System Div. C (1M) for Palay Production, Caayunan MPC (1M) and Barangay Iberica Cassava Pineapple Producer & Processing Association (BICPPPA) for Pineapple Production.
