manila-bulletin-logo2Negros Occidental — Eight more tractors were given by the Department of Agrarian Reform for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in southern Negros. The eight tractors, turned over by Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Undersecretary for Support Services Rosalina Bistoyong together with Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Lucrecia Taberna, will benefit 12,757 agrarian reform beneficiaries covering an area of 9,247 hectares. Taberna said she is optimistic more of these support services will come for the ARBOs. A total of 16 brand-new 120-horse power Massey Ferguson tractors, each costing P5.9 million, have been turned over. Meanwhile, Bistoyong added that DAR will train ARBs to become business entrepreneurs. (PIA)
