NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, March 5 (PIA6) – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) – Negros Occidental II recently conducted a lecture on the status of the implementation of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) in the 5th and 6th Districts as part of the Enhanced Bayanihan Team Activity (EBTA) spearheaded by the Philippine Army, a press release from DAR said.
Gil Ryan Alegario of DAR spoke on the issues that are affecting its implementation and the Salient Features of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Extension with Reforms.
He stressed the importance of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in the implementation of CARP-related activities.
He said that DAR and AFP must strengthen their partnership so they can accomplish targets, as well as provide services for the improvement of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs).
Six officers and 99 Non-Commissioned Officers, headed by Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Pompeyo Jason M. Almagro, attended the lecture.
The municipal agrarian reform program officers of Kabankalan City, Danny Lustika and Elma Popioco also attended the lecture.
They addressed the questions from the members of the AFP, who actively participated in the activity, during the open forum. (JSC/CBA-PIA6 Negros Occ.)
