Araneta Elementary School, a press release from Philippine Information Agency said.

The CPWASH project of DAR, in partnership with the Philippine Center for Water and Sanitation, was started in 2008 in Ivisan, Capiz to reduce the by number of people without access to safe drinking water and to improve sanitation, the press release said.

Ronald Gareza, DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer, said the CPWASH project is composed of water sanitation facilities, namely: the bio-sand filter, iron removal filter, rain water collector and the bio-gas digester.

He said they chose FHPC as the beneficiary of the project because Brgy. Mailum has problems with drinking water, especially in schools.

Two households and a day care center (45 students and 1 teacher) now make use of the bio-sand filters; 2 iron-removal filters are being used by R.M. Araneta Elementary School (451 students and 14 teachers) and FHCP; Rain water collectors are used by R.M.
