Tractors ready for ARBOs

visayan dailySix brand-new tractors all worth P20.72 million await deserving agrarian reform beneficiaries' organizations under the Department of Agrarian Reform, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer I Milagros Flores said yesterday.

Flores said each tractor comes with implements that include mounted disc plow, trailing disc harrow and 3-ton heavy-duty trailer. The six units are parked at the Sugar Regulatory Administration grounds.

DAR's Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services, funded the tractors which are intended for the beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) to improve the productivity of their land, and service provider will come from Organization Enterprise – Needs Assessment and Design Assessment of the University of the Philippines – Los Baños, Flores said.

Flores added that the list of ARBO's to receive the tractors will be announced through a ceremonial awarding during the closing of CARP month.*PSF
