NegOcc ARB organizations to get more than P40M worth of farm facilities today

sunstarlogoTHE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) offices in Negros Occidental will turn over today various common service facilities (CSF) to agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (Arbos) through its Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity Economic Support Services (Arccess) program.

Nine units of farm tractors, two units of rice threshers, and a shredder all worth about P40 million will be distributed to nine Arbos this morning by DAR Negros Occidental North at its provincial office in Dawis, San Sebastian Street, Bacolod City.

Undersecretary Rosalina Bistoyong will lead the turn-over ceremony, which will be attended by Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. as keynote speaker.

Meanwhile, in the afternoon, various farm facilities for agrarian beneficiaries in the south of the province will also be turned over by DAR Negros Occidental South Provincial Program Beneficiaries Development Division at the May’s Garden in Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City.

DAR in a press release said it is continuously implementing inter-sectoral partnership to help improve the organizational capabilities of participating Arbos in agri-enterprise development.

The Arccess through farm facilities and equipment aims to increase farm productivity, improve the net income of agrarian beneficiary-famers, and sustain their livelihood through provision of professional services, it added.
