DAR conducts fire drill

DAR together with personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection held the fire drill and orientation at the DAR-South office at the Loreta Chang Building, B.S. Aquino Drive in Bacolod City, as part of DAR’s participation in this year’s Fire Prevention Month celebration, a release from DAR said.
BFP- Bacolod Plans and Trainings chief, Fire Officer 1 Carlo Vincent Mallari, together with staff FO1 Edrex Sabando and FO1 Harold Oquindo conducted an orientation regarding the basic tips and procedures on how to avoid fire and how to respond during and after fire prior to the drill.
Mallari reminded the personnel to have a presence of mind during the incidence of fire in order to avoid greater damage as he urged DAR to establish and maintain a fire safety committee to provide immediate response in case of fire.
DAR Administrative Officer Celin Figueroa said the conduct of the fire drill aims to raise awareness among the personnel to help prevent the destructive occurrence of fire in the office and it also intended to equip the personnel with the knowledge and even skills in preventing fire
The fire prevention theme this year is “Kaalaman at Pagtutulungan ng Sambayanan, Kaligtasan sa Sunog ay Makakamtan”. *(JCM/EAD-PIA6 Negros Occidental)
