BACOLOD CITY (Sept. 10, 2016)—Secretary Rafael Mariano told the farmers that he has ordered the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to install 6,000 farmer-beneficiaries who were issued with writ of installation to be installed on or before December 16, 2016.
He said those who would not be installed by December would be installed within the first quarter of 2017.
He stated these during the dialogue with farmers organized by the DAR at the Bacolod Pavillion Hotel where more than 800 hundred farmers attended.
Mariano said that the department is targeting 6,000 farmer-beneficiaries issued with writ of installation to be installed as soon as possible.
“They have been waiting for too long. Most of the writs of installation issued to the famers dates back to more than 10 years,” Mariano said.
The Writ of Installation is a document issued to farmer-beneficiaries ordering the DAR’s adjudication board to place the farmers awarded with Certificates of land ownership awards (CLOAs) to take physical possession of their awarded land.
“Ang amin pong layunin ngayon [ay] walang ARB (agrarian reform beneficiary) na hindi ma-iinstall sa lupang awarded at distributed sa kanya,” Mariano stressed. (30)
