ILOILO CITY, June 20 (PIA6) – One hundred fifteen Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) are now undergoing orientation on their rights and responsibilities before they will be installed as beneficiaries in Banate, Iloilo.
Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas Region 6 Graft Investigation Officer and Public Information Officer Evangeline Nunal said all concerned agencies are now working together to make sure that the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) of the government is properly implemented and enjoyed by the farmer-beneficiaries. Msgr. Meliton B. Oso of the Jaro Archdiocese Social Action Center (JASAC) is also present to assist the farmers.
Nunal said this positive action was a result of a series of talks between the CARP farmer beneficiaries (who asked the assistance of the Ombudsman Regional Office 6) and the DAR PARO-Iloilo officials to implement the CLOA issued in 2005 and the Writ of Installation issued in 2013.
This proactive approach has been the thrust of the Office of the Ombudsman thru its Public Assistance Unit to make sure that the government services, programs and projects will be efficiently delivered to benefit the general public, said Nunal.
The installation of the farmer-beneficiaries is slated to be held on June 30 of this year. (Office of the Ombudsman-6/jsc-PIA6)
