Officials of two Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries’ groups from Hinoba-an town, Negros Occidental, will undergo loan counseling from personnel of the Land Bank of the Philippines at the Department of Agrarian Reform Municipal Office in Bacolod City.
Lynette Rojo, point person of the Agrarian Production Credit Program, the San Rafael Upland Farmers Association was granted P2.1 million in loans while the Asia Organic Farmers Association has an approved loan of P2.3 million.
Among the things to be discussed in the counseling, Rojo said, is the interest rate of 8.5 percent for ARBOs and 15 percent for the individual farmers.
She said policies involving the way individual farmers can avail of loans through their organizations, will also be discussed.
Last week, 20 officers of Sitio Tara Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organization, in Brgy. Carabalan in Himamaylan with a total loan of P5.1 million also went through the same counseling.*APN
