A two-day Orientation- Workshop on Agricultural Production Credit Program (APCP) application was recently conducted by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Cebu at Golden Valley Hotel, Cebu City.
The participants were cooperative officials, involving eight Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) namely: Canhabagat Multi Purpose Cooperative (MPC) in Medellin town, San Jose MPC in Medellin, Anonang Norte Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (ANARBA) in Bogo , Nagkahiusang Mag-uuma og Mamumuo Para sa Reformang Agraryo (NAMMPRA) in Malingin , Bogo, Pundok sa Mag-uuma (PUMAG) in San Isidro, Asturias, Kapunongan sa Mag-uuma (KASAMA) sa Saksak in Aloguinsan, Esperanza Farmers Association (ESFA) in Aloguinsan town, and Media Once Farmers Cooperative (MOFAMC) in Toledo City.
Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Dr. Antonio A. del Socorro said that the workshop would help the ARBOs in the preparation of loan documentary requirements for submission to Land Bank of the Philippines. The LBP is allotting P25 million for the 17 ARBOs identified in the province to avail themselves of the APCP .
The APCP is a joint DAR –DAR-LBP credit and capacity development program designed to respond to the credit needs of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) on various economic projects such as agricultural crop production, agri-enterprise and livelihood projects. (Rosanna Gay Visitacion)
