Cebu farmers undergo financial management training

ARB CoopMembers of three agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) in Malalay, Ronda in Cebu, underwent a financial management training to advance their competitive performance in managing agricultural enterprises.

DAR-Cebu Assistant Regional Director Dr. Antonio del Socorro said “the department sees the need for these ARBOs to improve their skills in business development so that they will improve their competitive performance in the market.”

“This training, implemented under the Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS), also aims to help the farmer-members to effectively deal with business problems that they encounter on a day-to-day basis,” added Del Socorro.

Members of the Malalay Farmers Beneficiaries of Barangay Malalay, Langin Farmer Beneficiaries Organization in Barangay Langin, and Vive Farmers Association of Barangay Vive were the participants in the training conducted by Siliman University.

The two-day workshop was conducted on April 10-11, 2015 held at the Malalay Farmer Beneficiaries Organization Training Center in Malalay, Ronda, Cebu. (Rosanna Gay Visitacion)
