news regional pix 1 sept. 24 2015The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently turned over P12.3-M worth of heavy tractors to farmer-beneficiaries in Negros Oriental to boost the quality of their agricultural products.

Regional Director Alejandro S. Otacan  said the facilities, composed of four (4) 90-horsepowered four-wheel drive tractors,  would benefit the farmers from identified agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) in Negros Oriental.news regional pix 2 sept. 24 2015

“The farm tractors, implemented under the   Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS) project of the DAR will help develop farmers’ organizations and ultimately increase their farm yield,” Otacan said.

ARCCESS is an alternative rural development approach wherein support services provided by the DAR are delivered directly to selected agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations.
