CEBU CITY— The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently conducted a seminar on cooperative standards and rules formulation to 28 agrarian reform beneficiaries’ organizations (ARBOs) here to help their respective businesses become viable and responsive economic enterprises.
Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer Elvira Bation said the training, implemented under the Cooperative Strengthening and Partnership Program of the Department “will improve the performance of the cooperatives and develop their capacity as pro-active partners in rural development.”
Bation said the participants were cooperative officers from 28 ARBOs in Conalum, Argao, Balirong and Alpaco, Naga, and Prenza, Toledo City.
The training was conducted by a team from the DAR’s Beneficiaries Development and Coordination Division headed by DAR BDCD SILCAB Point Person Judy Maratas. VICTO National Business Enterprise Executive Jacinto A. Tilbe was the resource person.
The three-day training was held at Diamond Suites Hotel and Residences, Cebu City. (Yuna Elluza D. Kintanar)
