GAMAY, Northern Samar (DWDD) – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) handed a performance-based incentive award of P2.1- M capital to the Local Government of Gamay, Northern Samar.
The award was presented during Gamay’s 68th founding anniversary celebration, in recognition for this LGU’s exemplary performance in the areas of agrarian reform initiatives, planning, budgeting, procurement, resource mobilization, governance, financial accountability and institutional development, which was made possible through the support of the second phase of the Agrarian Reform Communities Project (ARCP)
Gamay Mayor Timoteo Capoquian Jr. said, the achievement was due to the cooperation of everyone, and it will be of great help for them in attaining the town’s vision of becoming the strategic center in Northern Samar for trade commerce.
Aside from the 2.4-kilometer farm-to-market road constructed with 30-linear meter bridge situated in barangays Cagamutan, Bato and Bangon, Gamay agrarian reform community (ARC) is so fortunate to be a recipient of another road
Farm production in these areas is expected to improve and eventually increased income for the farmers now that a road already exists making hauling of their products a lot easier with reduced. DAR.gov.ph
