CAGAYAN DE ORO—Three hundred thirty farmers here were exultant after receiving their certificates of landownership awards (CLOAs) from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Rafael Mariano.
DAR Regional Director Faisar Mambuay said the CLOAs cover 700 hectares of agricultural lands in Bukidnon and Lanao del Norte.
Immediately after the CLOA distribution, a farmers’ forum was conducted by the DAR where the farmers aired their issues and concerns to the Secretary.
Secretary Mariano told the farmers that he is one with them in asserting and defending their rights. He assured them that under his leadership, “no farmers will be ejected from the land he tills.”
