DAVAO CITY, 10 November 2016 (PIA)—The Department of Agrarian Reform Compostela Valley Field Office seeks to enhance the news writing skills of its agrarian reform technologists from all Municipal Agrarian Reform Offices (MAROs).
The provincial field office of DAR conducts a two-day session on News Writing and Featuring starting yesterday until today at Homecrest Hotel in Davao City, bringing in agrarian reform technologists expected to serve as channel of news and information particularly for DAR beneficiaries.
In his opening remarks at the start of the training yesterday, DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer (PARO) Melchor Jamora cited the agrarian reform technologists as vital links of DAR with grassroots audience.
He also expected them to come up with articles to inform the general public about the significant accomplishment of DAR in line with the implementation of Republic Act 9700 or the Act of Strengthening the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, Extending the Acquisition and Distribution of Agricultural Lands, Instituting Necessary Reforms…”.
“We, in the Department of Agrarian Reform XI is steadfast in continuing to widen the information campaign on the Program,” he said in his letter request for assistance addressed to the Philippine Information Agency XI.
Jamora revealed that DAR Compostela Valley comes first among the provincial offices of DAR to have come up with such training for agrarian reform technologists. (PIA 11/jmda)
