Dubbed as “Pakiglambigit” or to socialize and interact with each other, the activity was aimed to strengthen the bonding and relationship between the ARBs and ARBOs from various areas in Davao City.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) Terso Gregorio said the occasion also served as a venue where DAR officials and employees converged and joined with the ARBs and ARBOs in various programs and activities.

Gregorio expressed gratitude for the positive response of ARBs and ARBOs who enthusiastically participated in the event.news reg 1 pix 2 june 22 2018

The gathering was also graced by DAR Undersecretary David Erro of Policy, Planning and Research Office, Assistant Secretary Elmer Distor of Field Operations Office, and Director Leomides R. Villareal of the Public Assistance and Media Relations Service (PAMRS).

In his message, Usec. Erro said that DAR is now gearing for the rebirth of the agrarian reform program in the country as visualized by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Erro pointed out that the President wants to cover not only agricultural lands but also those government lands that are suited for agricultural production.

He also told the ARBs and ARBOs that DAR, under the leadership of Secretary John R. Castriciones will strengthen its partnership with financial institutions, such as the Land Bank of the Philippines to provide more financing support to the ARBs.
