ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat Feb 10 (PIA) - Farm machineries amounting to P12,797,301.92 were distributed to seven agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) in Sultan Kudarat since the start of the year 2015, bared an official of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
Rodolfo Alburo, provincial agrarian reform program officer II, said, this was made possible through the Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS) program of DAR.
“Last year, seven farmer organizations became the recipient of the program. This year, it is possible that same ARBOs will again receive another set of CSF, as this program will improve the income of farmers by increasing productivity and lowering down costs thru mechanization of the farm industry especially in the agrarian reform areas,” said Alburo.
He added that more common service facilities (CSF) are coming this year for distribution again to farmer organizations.
Meanwhile, Ildefonso Buenacosa, Jr. ARCCESS point person, said that ARBOs are selected according to the maturity level of the organization.
“Once beneficiary organizations are selected, respective ARBO leaders will then choose the type of CSFs they would want to receive according to their needs,” he added.
He said that the series of workshops and orientations are necessary steps to ensure that recipient organizations are ready and socially prepared to receive the project and have understood the terms and conditions of the program.
On January 14 this year, three dump trucks were delivered to DAR provincial office as part of the continuing program of the agency under ARCCESS.
“These trucks will also be turned-over to the beneficiary ARBOs as soon as the schedule is finalized,” Buenacosa, Jr. said. (AC Agad PIA12 with report from JJB Dael DAR-SK)
