NorthCot LGU eyes boost in rubber industry

newlogoPIAKIDAPAWAN CITY, North Cotabato, Aug. 8 (PIA)--- Rubber industry will soon thrive in the province and rubber planters and growers will benefit more of their crops.   This, according to Governor Emmylou Mendoza is the primary benefit of the recently opened Rubber Processing Center in Banisilan town.

The governor emphasized that the initiative of putting up such center is to address the difficulty of the rubber farmers in processing their produce due to the lack of a processing facility.   The P14 million rubber processing center which was inaugurated last week was turned over to the Banisilan Farmers Credit Cooperative Organization (BFCCO) composed of 26 farmers’ organizations.

Meanwhile, Department of Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano who graced the inauguration of the facility encouraged the farmers to make use of the facility for the progress of the rubber industry as well as for the improvement of their lives. (SJDuerme-PIA12with report from JSta.Cruz-NorthCot Media Center)
