GEN. SANTOS CITY (Nov. 22, 2016)—DAR Undersecretary for Finance, Planning and Administration Office David Erro gave a short talk on the salient points of the genuine agrarian reform program and presented the thrusts and policy direction of Secretary Rafael “Ka Paeng” Mariano’s administration to workshop participants of the Presidential Agrarian Reform Council-Executive Committee’s (PARC-ExeCom) Medium Term Planning for 2017-2022.
Erro, who is also the PARC Council Secretary, said the DAR organized this planning workshop to formulate plans and targets of the department for the next six years.
“Aside from crafting plans, we would also assess the performance of the CARP implementing agencies (CIAs) from the year 2010 to June 2016. That way, we would find out where our strengths and weaknesses lie and improve on it for the next implementing years,” explained Erro.
Participants of the workshop are from the CIAs namely, the Land Bank of the Philippines, the Departments of Trade and Industry, Science and Technology, Agriculture, Environment, Labor and Employment, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
The PARC ExeCom Medium Term Planning for 2017-2022 is being held from Nov. 22-23 at the Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City.
