What admirable quality is common to hen, cow, robin and rabbit?
Here are your clues: hen is a domesticated fowl; cows are the most common type of large domesticated ungulates; robin is a small passerine bird which is also known as redbreast; and rabbits are small mammals found in several parts of the world.
Your time is up. Here's the answer I'm looking for: The female of these species takes extra special care to their youngs.
A mother hen gathers her chicks under her wings to protect them against any harm. A mother cow feed her calf with her own milk by weaning herself and she also act protectively toward the calf until it can fend itself. A mother robin feeds her nestling into the beak
before taking the food for her. A mother rabbit will make a nest for her babies by digging a cozy hole, and then piling at the very end of that hole, a considerable amount of grass. After this, she will cover the grass with the softest of furs -her furs! She'll pluck the fur off her chest and underbelly and make a thick soft lining for her young, to make sure they're warm and cozy.
DAR Sorsogon, as an organization and a family, also has a loving mother who gained high respect among her colleagues. She is Lily N. Encinares, Agrarian Reform Program Officer II. They fondly called her "Mother Lily" not just because her name is similar to the name of a movie producer whom showbiz world regarded as a mother, but because of her affection that marks to the heart of every colleague.
Mother Lily started her career as an Agrarian Reform Technologist in DAR Masbate in 1977. This year was her 32nd in public service. She turned 60 and a new grandmother, making her decide to retire from government work to attend to her little angel. Her separation from DAR Sorsogon becomes emotional especially to DARLA (DAR Ladies Association). This is because, as a mother, she is the one who gave strength to the association to push through its small sari-sari store. She is also able to give encouragement to some officemates who are feeling down. When there are gatherings, she is the one who manage the preparation of yummy foods. She even renders the requesting colleague a free hair-cut service. These are just some of her motherly care that for sure her colleagues will remember forever.
Always you
