DAR turns over 28.1-linear meter Tulay ng Pangulo in Negros Oriental

BINDOY, Negros Oriental – The provincial office of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Oriental turned over a Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo (TPKP) project to the Local Government Unit of Bindoy last June 25, 2018.

The 28.1 linear meter Ayumit Bridge with road and carriageway width of 7.0 linear meter now connects the residents of five barangays in the area, namely Camudlas, Tubod, Manseje, Part of Danawan and Salong to the town proper.

The DAR funded the construction of the TPKP project worth more than P 28.1 million and implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The Turn-over Ceremony was highlighted with the message of Undersecretary for Foreign-Assisted Projects Office Sylvia F. Mallari from the DAR Central Office who emphasized that good governance and sustainability are very important for the project to last a long time.

Regional Director Luis B. Bueno, Jr. on the other hand emphasized the presence of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries in the area that will benefit the members of the Domolog-Poblacion-Tagaytay Farmer’s Association (DOFTAFA), Hacienda Asuncion Producers Association (HAPA), Matobato Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (MARBA), Bulod Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (BARBA), and Bindoy Federated Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (BinFarba).

The event was graced by the presence of 1st Congressional District Representative Jocelyn S. Limkaichong, Bindoy Municipal Mayor Valente D. Yap and Barangay Chairman Roli Tepacia.


Other DAR officials who witnessed the TPKP project turnover were Assistant Regional Directors Engr. P. Eliasem Castillo and Atty. Josephus A. Baterna from DAR 7, PARPO II Atty. Louie L. Naranjo, Infra Coordinator Engr. Rita Ann S.
