DAR spearheads consultation for the distribution of public lands and government reservations to rightful claimants

MARAWI CITY -- Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary John R. Castriciones (in red polo shirt) links arms with various representatives from government agencies and stakeholders of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) as he spearheads the 1st Stakeholders’ Consultation for the Distribution of Public Lands and Government Reservations to Rightful Claimants held on Monday at the Mindanao State University in Marawi City, Mindanao.

The affair convenes issues, opinions, and suggestions to address the concerns that may come up in conducting the surveys of lands, to be covered by CARP, in Mindanao .

The Consultation is pursuant to President Rodrigo Duterte’s directive to place the whole of Mindanao as land reform area and distribute all government lands, including military camps, to the CARP farmer-beneficiaries.

Among other DAR and government officials present during the consultation are Undersecretary for Support Services Emily Padilla (2nd from left) and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Secretary-General Guiling Mamodiong (3rd from left).
