Combine Harvester awarded to TRAMPC

SAGUDAY, QUIRINO - DAR-Quirino turned-over a P1.7 Million combined harvester under Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) Project to Tres Reyes ARB Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TRAMPC).

The DAR with its mandate to mainstream Climate Change Adaption and Mitigation in Agrarian Reform Communities introduced the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project. This aims to promote and advance Farm Mechanization in the countryside, promote awareness on Climate Resilient farming practices and enable ARBOs by providing sustainable enterprise that can be managed and sustained by the community.

“Wala kami sa kinaroroonan namin ngayon, kung hindi dahil sa DAR.  Hindi lang machinery ang ibinabahagi nila kundi lahat ng kaalaman, seminars and trainings.  Natututo po kami ng lubusan dahil sa mga binahagi niyong ito.”, said Angelita Nicolas, manager of TRAMPC.

She expressed her gratitude to the Department for giving them the trainings and seminars— which includes the preparation of the farm to post-harvest activity. Also, their gratitude to the Department for the farm machineries awarded to them saying that these will be of great help to them.

Lahat ng binahagi ninyo sa amin, pinapangako po namin na bibigyan namin ito ng halaga, Iingatan po namin, i-mamanage ng maayos para makatulong sa pag-unlad ng aming kooperatiba at ng aming buhay, kaming mga miyembro at sa mga miyembro sa mga darating na araw nang sa ganoon, unti-unti na naming makamtan ang mga pangarap para sa aming kooperatiba lalong-lalo na sa aming pamilya.” Nicolas uttered in her pledge of commitment.

Part also of the program is the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing between Tres Reyes ARB Multi-Purpose Cooperative and DAR for the processing center, capability-building training of the ARBO-recipient under Village-Level Farm-focused Enterprise Development (VLFED).  This activity aims to encourage and promote active participation of families to fruits and vegetable-processing; provide additional source of income to ARBs; to develop rural-based entrepreneurs; to upgrade production, processing packaging and distribution and marketing of product; and to augment the ARBOs income that will eventually lead to members increase in household income. HAREN S.
