MIFSADECO receives P300K thru VLFED Project

MADDELA, QUIRINOThe Department of Agrarian Reform Province of Quirino (DARPO-Quirino) has recently turned-over a Three Hundred Thousand pesos (P300,000.00) worth of rehabilitation and building improvement of the processing center of Maddela Integrated Farmers Savings and Development Cooperative (MIFSADECO) for their Mushroom Chicharon Processing Center thru the Village-Level Farm Focused Enterprise Development (VLFED) Project.

This project aims to establish a sustainable Income-Generating Project (IGP) in the area and to provide additional income to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) and family members in the Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs) in the locality.  Also, to encourage and promote active participation of families to fruits and vegetable processing, provide additional source of income to ARBs, to develop rural-based entrepreneurs, to upgrade production, processing, packaging and distribution and marketing of product and to augment the ARBO’s income that will eventually lead to the members’ increase in household income.

MIFSADECO newly introduced their Mushroom Burger. PARPO II Jess Beth G. Quidasol believed that this blessing is not solely for MIFASADECO officers and members but she encouraged schools and government agencies to patronize this product for their snacks.   She added  that aside from being delicious, it has also nutritional contents.

During the turn-over ceremony, RD Samuel S. Solomero said in his speech that “This project is in support of DAR’s thrust to boost and amplify farmer’s access to economic opportunities and it will be an add-on in uplifting the farming business of our ARBs”.

In response, MIFSADECO Manager Maribel P. Valdez thanked the Department and vowed that they will safeguard and protect the said facility and will continue to use it to help promote the economic growth of the members as well as the cooperative.
