partnership for the farmersIn a rare but meaningful gathering, the Bureau of Jail and Management Penology (BJMP) and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Region I met to establish partnership for the benefits of the agrarian reform beneficiaries of the region.  The BJMP contingent coming from the provincial, city and municipal jails of the region was led by ARDA Florante Nisperos and ARDO (Atty.) Kenneth A. Bidding on behalf of the RD Rebecca A. Pawid discussed the needs of the BJMP Region I with a P 70.00 per day allowance for each Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL) for low cost, fresh and nutritious food for their stay inside.  This is part of BJMP’s Region I response to the Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (PaHP) for the support services and marketing of the products of the agrarian reform beneficiaries. RD Homer P. Tobias, CESO III in his welcome remarks expressed his enthusiasm towards the realization of this partnership to help both parties realize its respective goal. CARPO Nenette C. Madriaga facilitated the discussion on the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) to supply the needs of the BJMPs in the region. The MOA is still to be subjected for further discussion and more meetings shall be conducted for the realization of this partnership.
