DAR Region I Conducts Strategic Planning Workshop

LTS group discussed about SPLIT

The Department of Agrarian Reform Region (DAR) I’s performance in Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) implementation for the Calendar Year 2019 was impressive particularly in Agrarian Justice Delivery (both by DARAB and Legal Service Division) and Field Operations in Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development Sustainability Program (ARBDSP).  This is due to the committed management of the programs, human and financial resources by the officials and employees of the region with the collaborative efforts of other CARP implementing agencies and the public.

For Calendar year 2020, a Strategic Planning Workshop was conducted at Puerto de San Juan Resort, San Juan, La Union on February 13-14, 2020.  The Directives of Secretary John R. Castriciones were discussed including Memorandum 79, series of 2020 the Summary of Agreements Reached during the 2019 Summative Assessment and 2020 Planning Conference and Memorandum 86, series of 2020 on the ARBDSP: 100% Support Services Delivery for 2020 discussed by the RARAD Marivic C. Casabar, CARPO Nenette C. Madriaga and  RCAO Nestor T. Pagaduan.  The four (4) Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officers (PARPOs) Engineer Vic. I. Ines of Ilocos Norte; Christianne C. Suguitan of Ilocos Sur, Atty. Raul C. Laluan of La Union and Maria Ana B. Francisco of Pangasinan together with the CARPOs of FOD, PCAOs, Legal Services Chiefs, and PARADs, LTS Point Persons, Budget Officers, Accountants and Regional and Provincial Planning Officers participated actively in the discussions and workshops.

Since the region is 1 of the pilot regions for the implementation of the Support to Parcelization of Land for Individual Titling (SPLIT), the action plan formulated by the LTS group of the regional and provincial offices were presented.

Over the years, DAR Region I had proven its commitment to implement the CARP and surely 2020 is another year of committed service for the agrarian reform beneficiaries of the region.
