AN ACT OF GENEROSITY AMIDST COVID-19

Amid fight against COVID-2019, Agcabugao Multipurpose Cooperative in Cuartero, Capiz, an organization assisted by the Department of Agrarian Reform Province of Capiz displays act of generosity by extended a helping hand to all the cooperative members.  

The cooperative distributed food essentials worth P50,000.00 to all its 171 members on March 29, 2020. The management staff and members of the cooperative were the one who led in the packing of the goods.   

Not only did they extend their benevolence to the members of the cooperative but also provided financial assistance to the  thirty-one frontliners manning the barangay checkpoint composed of the Barangay Council, Barangay Health Workers (BHW) and the Tanods. The financial assistance was meant to compensate for their needs during their daily night routines.

Additional P1,000.00 in cash was also added for the purchase of their snacks and other needs during their nightfall duty as they adhere to the strict compliance of enhanced quarantine protocols of the provincial government, to ensure that the disease will not infect their residents. 

In the course of  fight against  COVID-19 and putting the whole Province of Capiz under the Enhanced Community Quarantine, it is exceptional for the humble cooperative to act genuinely in helping others to survive during the pandemic.

Moreover, the Bayanihan Spirit present during the distribution of the pre-packaged essentials despite the threat of the coronavirus disease is an act of heroism among its members.

PARPO I Anthony B. Arostique, recognized the generous act of the officials of Agcabugao MPC for not hesitating to spare some amount from the cooperative funds. The DAR Capiz management has been so proud of the organization for taking steps to share and provide support to the front-liners and members of the cooperative.
