795 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Oriental Mindoro have benefitted from the Department's “PaSSOver: ARBold Move for Deliverance of our Farmers from the CoViD-19 Pandemic” project providing supplemental food and non-food assistance.
"One of the major components of the said project is to provide safe food necessary to maintain the good health of beneficiaries’ families such as vitamins and hygiene kit - and that is what our personnel being the frontliners have done", as emphasized by Lima A. Turano, the OIC-Chief of Program Beneficiaries Development.
"We make sure that our personnel follow strict compliance to health protocols while distributing the relief packs particularly the wearing of face masks and protective shield, frequent hand washing, sanitation, and social distancing.", Turano added.
OIC-Chief Turano stressed that the qualified recipients of the relief packs are those who are not served by social amelioration/food packs assistance programs of other agencies. "Our field personnel ensures that we reached those families who are really in need in this time of crisis".
"Malaking tulong po ang inyong hatid sa amin. Sasapat na po ito para sa amin sa loob ng isang linggo, dagdag na pantawid-gutom ng aming pamilya.Nawa'y matapos na ang krisis na kinakaharap natin", a message of gratitude of Brigido Francisco Jr.
"It is a good feeling that we continue to help despite this difficult situation. We hope for more positive things to come these days as we fulfill our oath to serve the people", Turano said.
The Provincial Office’s accomplishment came today after the DAR completed its series of simultaneous daily distribution activities since May 25, 2020.
