DAR Capiz implements ARBold Project

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Province of Capiz responded immediately on the directive of Secretary John R. Catrisciones to implement the PaSSOver: ARBold Move for Deliverance of our Farmers from the COVID 19 Pandemic. This a project of DAR in response to the Republic Act 11469 or the “Bayanihan to Heal as One” Act, to sustain the economic life of every agrarian reform beneficiaries that was severely affected due to the global pandemic.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II Grace M. Tunguia and the whole provincial management team positively adhered to the said project  and  conduct orientation to all DAR-Capiz personnel.

During the orientation, PARPO Tunguia, in her message, said “Our goal is to set venue for discussion of probable barriers along with the implementation of the project that will not compromise our people”.

The orientation tackled possible interventions in the implementation of the project considering the difficulty brought by the Covid 19 pandemic. 

Discussions also includes procurement matters.

 

Repacking and Delivery of Relief Goods

The distribution of food and non-food items to agrarian reform beneficiaries  (ARBs) started on May 15, 2020.

Delivery of 40 sacks of rice from Calitan Multipurpose Cooperation one of the assisted ARBO of DAR Capiz.

Procurement processes was appropriately undertaken to ensure the smooth and effective acquisition of the goods in accordance with RA 6657.  The Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) and the Admin and Finance Division undergone series of meetings to fastrack the urgent procurement of supplemental packages. 

All these were made possible because of the team effort showed by DARPO Capiz personnel headed by Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II Grace M. Tunguia and PARPO I Anthony P. Arostique  with the assistance of the Program Beneficiaries Development Division (PBDD), Land Tenure Improvement Division (LTID) and the General Services Section (GSS) group who rendered overtime to finished the job. repacking.   

These service-oriented personnel from the different sectors voluntarily extended their help to the management in order to fastrack the preparation of the relief goods just in time for the start of the distribution.

The Bayanihan Spirit among the DARPO Capiz personnel makes way for the distribution of the goods to commence.  An expressions that shows the sincerity of the department in its effort to serve the farmers and ensure food security  of all Filipinos amidst the pandemic.
