Nueva Ecija farmers receive relief packs from DAR

DAR Secretary John R. Castriciones and his officials led the distribution of relief packs to 48 ARBs in Palayan and 44 ARBs in Gabaldon Nueva Ecija.

Agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from Palayan City and Gabaldon in Nueva Ecija were very happy after receiving relief packs from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Secretary John Castriciones, along with Undersecretaries for Support Services Office (SSO) Emily Padilla and Policy, Planning and Research Office (PPRO) Virginia Orogo, led the distribution in the two towns.

"We are giving these packs to help mitigate the impact of the pandemic on farming families," said Castriciones.

The DAR is currently extending its help to ARBs in 79 provinces thru its project called "The PaSSOver: ARBOld Move to Heal as One Act Deliverance of our farmers from Covid-19 Pandemic."

Under the project, a total of 126,565 ARBs nationwide will be given relief packs which contains supplemental food and non-food items.

On May 29, 2020, DAR officials led by Castriciones went to Palayan City and Gabaldon where he and his officials distributed the relief packs to 48 ARBs in Palayan and 44 ARBs in Gabaldon.

In both towns, the Secretary spared the farmers' from lining up to get the packs. He instead gave the packs to each of them in their seats.

"This are just the initial batches. The DAR in this province will continue to distribute relief packs in the coming weeks," Castriciones said.

Each relief pack contains 4 kilos rice, 4 canned sardines, 4 packs instant noodles, 2 pcs. bath soaps, 10 pcs. washable face masks and a bottle with 50 pcs. Vitamin C.

Mga Magsasaka sa Nueva Ecija tumanggap ng relief packs mula sa DAR

Ang mga agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) ng Palayan City at Gabaldon sa Nueva Ecija ay masayang tumanggap kamakailan ng mga relief packs mula sa Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Pinagunahan ni Secretary John Castriciones, kasama ng kanyang Undersecretaries for Support Services Office (SSO) Emily Padilla at Policy, Planning and Research Office (PPRO) Virginia Orogo ang pamimigay ng relief packs sa dalawang nasabing bayan.

“Namimigay kami ng mga ito upang maibsan ang epekto ng pademya sa mga sambahayan ng ating mga magsasaka,” ani Castriciones.

Ang DAR ay kasalukuyang tumutulong sa mga ARBs sa 79 na lalawigan ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng proyektong "The PaSSOver: ARBOld Move to Heal as One Act Deliverance of our farmers from Covid-19 Pandemic."

Sa ilalim ng proyektong ito, may kabuuang 126,565 na ARBs sa buong bansa ang bibigyan ng relief packs na may nilalamang supplemental food at mga non-food items.

Noong Mayo, 29, 2020, pinangunahan ng Kalihim, kasama ang ilan sa kanyang mga opisyal, ang pamimigay ng releief packs sa bayan ng Palayan at Gabaldon, kung saan tumanggap ng relief packs ang may 48 ARBs sa Palayan at 44 ARBs sa Gabaldon.

Upang maiwasan ang pagkakadikit-dikit ng mga tao a parehong bayan, minabuti ng Kalihim na personal niyang ibigay ang mga relief packs sa habang sila ay naka-upo.

“Ang Gabaldon at Palayan ang mga unang bayan na nabigyan ng relief packs sa lalawigang ito. Ipagpapatuloy ng DAR-Nueva Ecija ang pamimigay sa iba pang mga bayan sa mga susunod na linggo,” ani Castriciones.

Ang bawat relief packs ay naglalaman ng 4 kilong bigas, 4 na sardinas, 4 na instant noodles, 2 sabong pampaligo, 10 pirasong washable face masks at isang boteng naglalaman ng 50 pirasong vitamin C.
