Davao del Norte ARBs assured of continuous DAR support

As the Coronavirus-19 Pandemic continues to affect the lives of people around the globe, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Davao del Norte remains committed to  extend continuous support to the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) of the province.

Just very recently, DAR Davao Regional Director Joseph Orilla along with Asst Director Claudio Ybañez, PARPO II Jocelyn Seno, PARPO I Leo Nuñeza, MARPO Floro Forasil Astillo, facilitated the turn-over of the 35 HP 4WD Farm Tractor with Mounted Rotary Tiller, which is worth Php1,358,250.00 and 1-Ton Trailer, to New Corella Farmers Credit Cooperative (NECOFARM), represented by David E. Carbon, chairperson of NECOFARM.  The grant of farm equipment was made possible under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project (CRFPSP) of the DAR.

Chairperson Carbon was very thankful for the farm machine.  "At last, our cooperative will no longer rent a tiller tractor during land preparation of our rice and corn fields and we can also save the money intended for the rental of the machinery", he exclaimed.

Immediately after the turn-over ceremony at DAR Provincial Office, the tractor was brought to Mesaoy, New Corella where the cooperative is being located and was tested on one of the rice fields in the municipality.  (PIO-Davao del Norte
