P480,000 worth of assorted farm machineries and equipment grants to MIDIA

DUPAX DEL SUR, NUEVA VIZCAYA – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Provincial Office of Nueva Vizcaya under the able leadership of Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer (PARPO) II Gerald “Dindi” M. Tan moved to Dupax del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya for the turn-over ceremony of farm machineries and equipment on January 05, 2021.

PARPO II Tan, in her message, explained briefly the significance of granting farm machineries and equipment (FME) under Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) project to DAR-assisted agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) like Mangayang Ineangan Duppes Irrigators Association (MIDIA).

 

During the turn-over ceremony, PARPO II Tan awarded to the officials and members of MIDIA the assorted FME namely: two (2) units of power tiller worth P107,776.00, two (2) units of hand tractors worth P307,776.00 and two (2) units of water pumps cost P65,776.00. A total of P481,328.00 FME will benefit 70 farmer-beneficiaries of MIDIA.

These assorted FME will eventually uplift the living condition of the ARBs. Also, to mechanize their farming system and in the end will increase their production and income.

The officials and members of MIDIA expressed their profound gratitude to Agrarian Reform Secretary John R. Castriciones and Undersecretary Emily O. Padilla, Support Services Office (SSO), Cagayan Valley Regional Director Samuel S. Solomero and other DAR key officials for providing these FME to them.

The said activity was graced by PARPO I Cherry C. Magno, CARPO PBDD Chit Bungabong, SARPO Edwin Algeria and other staff, PARCCOM member John Calamug and Mangayang barangay officials.
