DAR Antique overcomes virtual surveillance audit, maintains ISO Certification

The Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office of Antique maintained its accreditation with the International Organization for Standardization after it underwent its first virtual ISO 9001: 2015 Surveillance Audit with Certification International Philippines Inc., (CIPI) on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

With the continuation of certification, the department is again recognized by the certifying body for improving its performance and constant development to achieve excellence in clients’ satisfaction within the organization’s integrated quality management system.

The surveillance audit was spearheaded by PARPO II Florentino D. Siladan and OIC PARPO I Ludimer A. Capague with the support of the Division Chiefs and employees of the provincial office.

PARPO II Siladan instructed all the DARPO Antique employees to prepare all the required documents adequately in place and readily available for screen sharing to ensure the agency’s readiness and full compliance to the global standards. All electronic or soft copies of controlled documents, terminal reports, checklists, minutes of meetings, and all evidences of the procedures enrolled were systematically organized for offsite verification.

During the closing meeting, CIPI auditors led by Mr. Arnel D. Guevara with Mr. Rodolfo C. Viola Jr. revealed that the audit resulted in no major or minor non-conformities and corrective actions after finding out that the documents are in order and in compliance with the quality management systems.

Likewise, the auditors also commended the interviewees and person in-charge for each area to be audited and were highly impressed with how the department have greatly improved compared to its previous audit.

The surveillance audit involved the evaluation of the documented information pertaining to understanding the context of the organization, effectiveness of actions to address risks and opportunities, customer satisfaction and feedback handling, results of the audit of IQA, and review of the agency’s performance monitoring.

The department earned its ISO 9001:2015 certification last June 11, 2020 which shall last for 3 years for the provision of Land Tenure Security Program (LTSP), Agrarian Justice Delivery (AJD) and Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability Program (ARBDSP) subject to periodic surveillance audit.

The ISO 9001: 2015 is the latest version of ISO 9001 standard which replaces the 2008 version. It is dedicated to quality management system used by organizations to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and to demonstrate continuous improvement in accordance to global standard.
