DAR distributed the title of land

More than one hundred Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) were blessed by the Department of Agrarian Reform - La Union of land title or the so-called Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) in a CLOA distribution held at Naguilian Central School in town of Naguilian, La Union.

The beneficiaries who received the title are from Naguilian, San Gabriel, Bagulin and San Fernando City. In total, there are 136.9591 hectares of land contained 105 CLOAs distributed.

Led by Support Services Office Undersecretary Atty. Emily O. Padilla, Policy, Planning and Research Office Undersecretary Virginia N. Orogo, Regional Director Primo C. Lara, Assistant Regional Director for Admin Maria Ana B. Francisco and Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Christianne C. Cocktail with Mayor Neri Flores of Naguilian and Mayor Herminigildo Velasco in the said CLOA Distribution.

The distribution of land title is one of our president's marching orders to address ′′ land for the landless ′′ and help our farmers elevate their livelihood.

In his message, Usec Padilla discussed the importance of land ownership. According to him, this is the beginning of social justice and insisted that the farmed land should be enriched and ′′ profitable He also explained that every ARB needs to join an organization to facilitate the acquisition of assistance from various government agencies.

He also shared with the recipients the important information contained in the membership of an Agrarian Reform Community, to become an Agrarian Reform Beneficiary and to become a member of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organization. This includes ARC's relationship with Local Government Units and the creation of ARC Development Plan to achieve sustainable development and rural industrialization.
