DAR Antique conducts “Serbisyong DAR to Door” CLOA Distribution

The Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office of Antique recently distributed 420 land titles covering 318.2788 hectares of agricultural lands to the agrarian reform beneficiaries in the municipalities of Laua-an, Bugasong, Patnongon, Sibalom, San Remigio, Hamtic and Tobias Fornier, Antique through the “Serbisyong DAR to Door” program.

The program aims to intensify the delivery of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) and to boost farmer beneficiaries’ confidence knowing that they now legally own the land they till.

This was also in compliance with present administration’s mandate to bring the government services closer to its people.

“The beneficiaries were surprised for this grand gesture because this is the first time the land titles were delivered right in the comfort of their homes,” said George M. Torente, OIC-CARPO for Land Tenure Improvement Division (LTID).

Upon seeing the land title, Eulogia N. Cainap, an ARB from Piape I, Hamtic,  can’t help but cry and jump in joy because after 19 years the land title that she has been waiting for has finally arrived.

The Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officers (MARPO) and Agrarian Reform Program Technologist (ARPTech) of the said DAR municipal offices together with some personnel from the Land Tenure Improvement Division (LTID) led the door-to-door distribution.

The recipients were also reminded of their role, rights and responsibilities as CLOA holders and agrarian reform beneficiaries. Likewise, they promised to make their awarded lands productive and to actively participate to the activities of their organizations or cooperatives.

According to PARPO II Florentino D. Siladan, the government support under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program does not end in the distribution of land titles as the agency also offers various support services to advance the economic lives of its beneficiaries.

“The brutal disruption by the COVID-19 pandemic did not stop the DAR public servants to work under life-threatening circumstances. This initiative only proves how we at DAR always put forth the welfare of our farmer beneficiaries through tenurial security and agricultural productivity,” Siladan said.
