Farmer beneficiaries within Reymundo Villacete Estate in Piat, Cagayan receive land titles

PIAT, Cagayan – An offshoot of the informal meeting between Agrarian Reform Secretary John R. Castriciones, Cagayan Valley key officials headed by Regional Director Samuel S. Solomero and farmer-beneficiaries within Villacete Estate held on July 2, 2021 at the DAR Regional Office compound, Carig Sur, the Department of Agrarian Reform in the province of Cagayan scheduled a Distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) titles and Installation of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) within Reymundo Villacete Estate located at Maguilling, Piat, Cagayan on 04 August 2021 at the Barangay Hall, Maguilling, Piat, Cagayan.
Agrarian reform beneficiaries happily receive their copy of CLOA titles from the Department of Agrarian Reform through PARPO II Arthur E. Faeldon and other DAR R02  officials.
 
Municipal Mayor Carmelo “Black” Villacete, in his opening message, mentioned that his forefathers had vast tracts of land but only 74 hectares pasture lands remained in the name of his parents.
 
With 8,000 thousand more or less hectares of land, everybody will be given a share, Villacete stated.
 
Prior to the distribution of CLOAs, Agrarian Reform Program Officer II/Sheriff Domingo Delgado explained the Write of Execution process among the ARBs present. He also discussed the ARBs’ selection and screening processes as stipulated in Republic Act No. 6657/RA 9700.
 
Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Arthur E. Faeldon handed-over the 17 CLOAs to 16 ARBs with an aggregate area of 38.11 hectares of agricultural lands.
 
DAR hands-over the CLOA title to Choleta B. Baridad.
One of the farmer-beneficiaries, Choleta B. Baridad, 59 years old, happily received the copy of her CLOA title from the Department of Agrarian Reform.
 
Simultaneously, Legal Officers both from the Regional and Provincial Offices and Engr. Felix Barcellano conducted a pulong-pulong to farmers with legal and survey issues.
 
Also present in the event were PARPO I Rustico R. Turingan, Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officers Villamor Lara and Felix Barcellano, Senior Agrarian Reform Program Officers Anthony Teofilo and Richard T. Francisco, ARPO I/DF Laurita Miguel, ARPTs Sherwin Banez and Henrick Dulin, Jennifer Tumbali, Ronalyn Lasam, Minerva Eslao, Hertzchee C. Tarrangco, barangay officials and farmer-beneficiaries.
