Castriciones administers oath of newly appointed and promoted DAR Ilocos region employees
An oath-taking ceremony for newly appointed and promoted DAR-Ilocos region personnel was led by Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Brother John Castriciones as he administered the oath of eighteen (18) employees coming from the DAR offices in La Union, Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.
During the ceremony, Brother John emphasized their vital role in implementing the department’s mandate of distributing lands and implementing projects and programs for agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).
“Each and every one of you has a role to play, a job to do. I expect that with this appointment and promotion, you will continue to give your best in helping our farmers uplift their living conditions. Think out-of-the-box. Initiate and spearhead good ideas that will benefit the system where we do our work,” Brother John said.
He further emphasized the importance of the attitude that a DAR employee should have, like giving respect and treating co-employees as family and not as competitors.
For his part, DAR Ilocos Regional Director Primo Lara encouraged everyone to serve with utmost integrity and “spread out and see how their competencies can be put at best in the service of the community.”
Also present during the oath-taking were Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officers of DAR-Ilocos Region and their respective division heads along with other personnel and staff.
