The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) announced that it will turn over a bridge, six hauling trucks and farm machines to ten (10) agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) in the Province of Tarlac.

DAR Regional Director Celestina Tam said Secretary Brother John Castriciones will arrive in Tarlac on September 27 to lead the turn over rites.

Tam said the Secretary will turn over, at the same time, formally open to the public the San Sotero Bridge in Sta. Ignacia.

The San Sotero bridge was implemented by DAR under the Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo and constructed in collaboration with the Department of Public Works and Highways.

On the same day, the Secretary will also turn over six (6) hauling trucks to 6 ARBOs and various farm machines to four (4) ARBOs.

Tam said the trucks would help farmers in hauling harvested sugarcane and other sugar products to sugar mills and to the market.

She said the DAR provides modern farm machines to introduce agricultural technology and business development to farmer’s organizations and provide tools that will help farmers increase their production.

Tam said the project is expected to greatly impact the security of land tenure of the agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in the area.

The farm machines were given under the DAR’s Sustainable Livelihood Support for Disaster-Affected Areas Project and the provision for hauling trucks were granted under the Linking Smallholder Farmers to Market with Microfinance Project.

Magkakaloob ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) ng tulay, anim (6) na trak panghakot at mga makinang pansaka sa sampung (10) agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) sa lalawigan ng Tarlac.

Sinabi ni DAR Regional Director Celestina Tam na nakatakdang dumating sa Tarlac sa Setyembre 27 si Secretary Brother John Castriciones upang pangunahan ang turn over rites.

Sinabi ni Tam na pormal na bubuksan sa publiko ng Kalihim ang San Sotero Bridge sa Sta. Ignacia.

Ang tulay ng San Sotero ay ipinatupad ng DAR sa ilalim ng Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo at itinayo sa pakikipagtulungan sa Department of Public Works and Highways.

Sa araw ding iyon, pangungunahan ng Kalihim ang pagkakaloob ng anim (6) na trak na panghakot sa 6 na ARBO, gayon din ng iba't ibang mga makinang pansaka sa apat (4) na ARBO.

Sinabi ni Tam na ang mga trak ay makatutulong sa mga magsasaka sa paghakot ng kanilang inaning tubo at iba pang mga produktong mula sa tubo sa mga sugar mills at sa pamilihan.

Sinabi niya na ang DAR ay nagbibigay ng mga modernong makina upang ipakilala ang mga makabagong teknolohiyang pansaka sa mga magsasaka at magbigay ng mga kagamitan na makatutulong sa paglago ng kanilang produksyon.

Sinabi ni Tam na inaasahang malaki ang magiging epekto ng proyekto sa seguridad ng lupang sinasaka ng mga agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) sa nasabing lugar.

Ang mga makinarya ay ibinigay sa ilalim ng Sustainable Livelihood Support for Disaster-Affected Areas Project, at ang mga trak naman ay mula sa Linking Smallholder Farmers to Market with Microfinance Project.
