DAR distributes 174.13 has. settlement area and government-owned lands in Davao de Oro

The distribution of land titles comprising of a settlement area and government-owned lands to agrarian reform beneficiaries in Davao de Oro.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Davao de Oro distributed a total of 174.13 hectares of agricultural lands comprising of Alang sa Karagan Valley Settlement in Bahi and Langgawisan, in the municipality of Maragusan and a government-owned land (GOL) in Davao National Agricultural School (DNAS) in Banglasan, Montevista which will benefit a total of 100 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

Field Operations Office Undersecretary Elmer Distor, who led the distribution ceremony said around 107 certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) were distributed to 79 ARBs from the 156.47 hectares of Alang sa Karagan Valley Settlement landholdings while 24 CLOAs were given to 21 farmer-beneficiaries from the 17.66 hectares Davao National Agricultural School.

“The DAR is mandated to provide lands to qualified beneficiaries. Take good care of your lands and make them productive,” Distor said.

The distribution of CLOAs coincided with the celebration of the 44th Day of Maragusan, held in the Municipal Cultural Center, in Poblacion.

DAR Davao Regional Director Joseph Orilla extended his greetings to the people of Maragusan and expressed his gratefulness to the local government for including the land distribution ceremony as part of their celebration.

“I am confident that the DAR-Davao de Oro provincial office would continue working hard to serve the ARBs through the department’s programs on land tenure security, development and sustainability, and agrarian justice delivery,” Orilla said.

The event was also attended by Maragusan Mayor Maricel Colina-Vendiola, Montevista Mayor Eutropio Jayectin, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Jupiter Arandela Jr., and other local DAR officials.

Namahagi kamakailan ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa lalawigan ng Davao de Oro ng 174.13 ektarya ng lupa na kinapapalooban ng Alang sa Karagan Valley Settlement sa Bahi at Langgawisan, sa bayan ng Maragusan at isang government-owned land (GOL) na Davao National Agricultural School (DNAS) sa Banglasan, Montevista na pakikinabangan ng 100 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

Ayon kay Field Operations Office Undersecretary Elmer Distor, na naguna sa pamamahagi ng lupa, may 107 certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) ang naipamahagi sa 79 ARBs mula sa 156.47 ektaryang lupain ng Alang sa Karagan Valley Settlement at 24 CLOA naman ang naipamahagi sa 21 magsasakang-benepisyaryo mula sa 17.66 ektarya ng Davao National Agricultural School.

“Ang DAR ay may mandato na ipamahagi ang lupa sa mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo. Alagaann ninyo at pagyamanin nag mga lupaing inyong tinanggap,” ani Distor.

Ang pamamahagi ng mga CLOA ay kasabay ng selebrasyon ng ika-44 Araw na Pagdiriwang ng Maragusan, na ginanap sa Municipal Cultural Center, sa Poblacion.

Binati ni DAR-Davao Regional Director Joseph Orilla ang mga taga-Maragusan at nagpahayag ng kanyang pasasalamat sa lokal na pamahalaan dahil sa pagiging bahagi ng pamamahagi ng lupa ng DAR sa kanilang selebrasyon.

“Naniniwala ako na ang DAR-Davao de Oro provincial office ay patuloy na magsusumikap upang paglingkuran ang mga ARB sa pamamagitan ng mga programa ng ahensiya gaya ng land tenure security, development and sustainability, at agrarian justice delivery,” ani Orilla.

Ang seremonya ay dinaluhan nina Maragusan Mayor Maricel Colina-Vendiola, Montevista Mayor Eutropio Jayectin, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Jupiter Arandela Jr., at ng iba pang local na opisyal ng ahensiya.
