DAR facilitates agreement with Ilocos Norte farmers organizations, provides them with Php470.64-K common service facilities

MOA signing between the DAR and ARBOs for the distribution of  common service facilities under Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

A total of twenty-five (25) common service facilities (CSF) worth Php470,648.00 was provided by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to eleven (11) agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) in Ilocos Norte which arises from the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the DAR and the 11 ARBOs.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Vic M. Ines said the 25 CSFs include the eighteen (18) units brush cutter with harvester, five (5) units water pump with one (1) roll of 1.5 inches hose each, 1 unit water pump with fire hose of 100m length and 2 inches diameter and 1 unit weighing scale.

“The provision of support services are coursed through the ARBOs, or the groups of farmers created and supported by the DAR. They are groups united in achieving their goals to enrich their farms and livelihood and are aware of their priorities, concerns, and needs,” Ines said.

Ines encouraged farmers to make their lands productive and to continue supporting their organization since all support services coming from the DAR will be coursed through the ARBOs.

The farmer-members expressed their gratitude to the DAR for providing them with various facilities for their farms.

The facilities were provided under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project (CRFPS) of the DAR and are geared towards building the resiliency of agrarian reform communities nationwide to enhance and sustain the agricultural productivity of farmers’ organizations. This is done by providing farm machinery and livelihood activities to uplift the lives of its members.

The 11 ARBOS who were provided with the CSF include:

3. Vintar, Zanjera De Nal-Pan-Sur Pump Irrigators Association, Inc in Paoay,

4. Capurictan Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Solsona

5. Sagumbi Balay Cali Irrigators Association, Inc. in San Francisco,

6. Dingras, Sasabtan River Farmers Associations, Inc. in Dingras

7. Cabaruan Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Dingras,

8. Zanjera San Marco Swisa in San Nicolas,

9. Alay Balbaldez Irrigators Association, Inc. in Badoc

10. CM Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Vintar; and

11. Agunit Multi-Purpose Coorprative in Marcos.

DAR nakipagkasundo sa mga organisasyon ng mga magsasaka sa Ilocos Norte, nagkaloob ng Php470.64-K pasilidad pangsaka

May kabuuang dalawampu’t limang (25) common service facilities (CSF) na nagkakahalaga ng Php470,648.00 ang ipinagkaloob ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa labing-isang (11) agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) sa lalawigan ng Ilocos Norte matapos maisagawa ang paglagda ng Memorandum of Agreement sa pagitan ng DAR at ng 11 ARBOs.

Ayon kay Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Vic M. Ines, kabilang sa dalawampu't limang (25) CSFs ay ang 18 yunit ng brush cutter na may harvester, limang (5) yunit ng water pump na may tig-isang roll na 1.5 inches hose, isang yunit water pump na may fire hose na 100m ang haba at 2 inches na diameter at isang yunit weighing scale.

“Ang probisyon ng suportang serbisyo ay ipinagkakaloob sa mga ARBOs, o mga grupo ng mga magsasaka na itinatag at tinutulungan ng DAR. Sila ay mga grupo kung saan ang mga magsasakang miyembro ay may iisang layunin na mapagyaman ang kanilang mga sakahan at pinagkakakitaan, at alam din nila ang kanilang prayoridad, suliranin at kinakailangan,” ani Ines.

Hinikayat ni Ines ang mga magsasaka na gawing produktibo ang kanilang lupain at patuloy na suportahan ang kanilang organisasyon dahil ang lahat ng suportang serbisyo mula sa DAR ay idadaan sa mga ARBOs.

Nagpasalamat ang mga magsasakang-miyembro sa DAR dahll sa pagkakaloob sa kanila ng mga pasilidad para sa kanilang sakahan.

Ang mga pasilidad ay naipagkaloob sa ilalim programang Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project (CRFPS) ng DAR na nakatuon sa layunin na patatagin ang mga agrarian reform communities sa buong bansa upang mapahusay at mapanatili ang produksiyon sa agrikultura ng mga organisasyon ng mga magsasaka. Ito ay sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaloob sa kanila ng mga makinarya at mga aktibidad pangkabuhayan upang mapataas ng kanilang ani at kita upang maiangat ang antas ng pamumuhay ng mga kasapi nito.
