DAR employees complete Philippine Quality Award Assessor’s Preparatory Course

Employees from various offices of the Department of Agrarian Reform completed the Philippine Quality Award - Assessor’s Preparatory Course (PQA-APC), a requisite to qualify and be part of the PQA’s pool of Assessors, in a recently concluded commencement exercises held in a zoom conference, March 14, 2022.

Andrada have officially graduated from the course after completing the six (6) days of synchronous and asynchronous e-learning and 11 pre-work modules.

The course is jointly organized by the Philippine Quality Award Foundation, Inc. (PQAF) and the Department of Trade and Industry - Competitiveness Bureau (DTI-CB) which aims to enhance the knowledge of the participants in helping Philippine-based organizations, identify and improve their role in the domestic and international supply chain by enhancing their processes, efficiency and productivity. Further, the course program involves individual assignment, lecture, individual and group exercises, and comments writing workshop based on the selected case study. The Asynchronous E-Learning used Google Drive platform and the Synchronous E-Learning were conducted through Zoom Conference.

To recognize the participants’ meritorious involvement all throughout the course program, special awards were given during the graduation ceremony. Mr. Carlo C. Casillar was hailed the Most Outstanding Graduate, Mr. John Ziegfred Pedrozo as the Most Active, Ms. Hipolita A. Altavano as the Most Engaged, Mr. Florentino D. Siladan as the Most Inquisitive, Ms. Jeanette Abillar as the Most Dependable, and Mr. Homer Malonzo as the Most Energetic.

The training was facilitated by Engr. Angelica C. Fraginal, Managing Director and Senior Consultant of the ACF Consultancy and Training Services.

The Philippine Quality Award (PQA) is the country’s highest national recognition for exemplary organizational performance for the public and private sectors. Institutionalized through Republic Act 9013, also known as the Philippine Quality Award Act, the PQA program is a global competitiveness template that aims to set the standard to help and encourage public and private organizations to strive for and attain performance excellence and be recognized among the Philippines’ best organizations, comparable to the best organizations in the world (Productivity and Development Center website).
