DAR TURNS OVER TULAY NG PANGULO PROJECT IN DAVAO OCCIDENTAL

A 20million peso-12 linear-meter Tulay ng Pangulo para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo (TKPK) was turned over recently by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to the Local Government Unit of Brgy. Lacaron in Malita, Davao Occidental.

Brgy. Lacaron has a total land area of 2,677 hectares, 725 hectares of which was covered by the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). It has a population of 3,038. The bridge will help ferry some 420 mt of coconut, 3,336mt of banana & 10mt of cacao products to the market.

The bridge will also serve the barangays of Fishing Village, Talogoy & Pangian with a total land area of 9thousand hectares & a combined population of 10,801.  Construction commenced last Sept 2021 and completed in January 21, 2022 as scheduled.

Jubilant residents joined the walk-through and witnessed the simple turn-over ceremonies held on March 8, 2022. Leading the simple turnover ceremony was DAR XI Assistant Regional Director Claudio Ybanez, representing Regional Director Joseph H. Orilla and CARPO Julio P. Lupas representing PARPO II Zaldy A.
