Central Luzon Agrarian Reform Farmer Beneficiaries Receive 1st Set of Computerized Titles

April 6, 2022, Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

More than 300 computerized titles were awarded to almost 300 agrarian reform beneficiaries of DAR in Central Luzon in a simple ceremony held here.

The computerized titles representing almost 460 hectares were made possible for the first time under the DARs Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling or SPLIT Project, a World Bank-funded endeavor of the Department.

In his short but delightful message, DAR Secretary Bernie Cruz emphasized that the whole process of splitting collective titles into individual certificates of land ownership award or CLOAs takes a long and tedious network of inter-related procedures and multi-agency collaboration.

He also thanked other agencies of government especially the Land Registration Authority or LRA for ensuring the timely and swift registration of computerized titles.

During the ceremony, officials from LRA also signed a Commitment of Support to ensure that the more than 30,000 hectares target under SPLIT of Central Luzon will be delivered on time for the benefit of over 17,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries.

Larry Obinario, a farmer beneficiary from Aurora province, expressed deep gratitude for receiving his computerized title.

"Makakaasa po ang DAR na patuloy naming pagyayamanin ang mga lupang sakahan para masiguro ang sapat na pagkain sa bawat mesa", Obinario said.
