10 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries' Organizations in Zambales Complete Training on Basic Accounting for Non Accountants

Participants from ten (10) newly-organized agrarian reform beneficiaries' organizations (ARBOs) in Zambales recently completed a one-day training on basic accounting entitled “Basic Accounting for Non-Accountants” by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Zambales province thru its Program Beneficiaries Development Division (PBDD).

PARPO II Engr. Emmanuel G. Aguinaldo emphasized the importance of basic accounting and proper financial recording for newly organized ARBOs like them.  He informed them that one of the DAR’s mandate is to provide support services to agrarian reform beneficiaries and ARBOs.  He further said that DAR Zambales has been continuously providing trainings on capability building to help them strengthen their organizations until such time that they are ready to manage projects provided by government agencies.

Finally, he assured them that there will be subsequent trainings on Organizational Management such as Leadership and Teambuilding; Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives Formulation; and Strategic Planning Workshop to make their organizations capable of handling and succeeding into any worthwhile undertakings.

The ARBOs who participated in the training were Bukal-bukal Farmers' Association, Paglana-Tuga Farmers' Association, Tapuac Farmers' Association, Taltal Farmers' Association and Bamban Farmers' Association, all from the town of Masinloc;  San Juan Botolan Farmers' Association from Botolan town; Palatam Irrigators' Association and Zambalenyo Farmers' Association from the municipality of Iba ;  San Rafael Cabangan Organic Farmers' Association from Cabangan town; and Naulo Farmers' Association from the municipality of Sta.
