DAR turns over utility vehicle to farmer’s organization in South Cotabato

DAR provincial office of South Cotabato turned over a Php300,000.00 worth of utility vehicle to Banga Agrarian Reform Community Cooperative in Barangay Malaya.

Banga, South Cotabato - The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) provincial office of South Cotabato recently turned over a Php300,000.00 worth of utility vehicle to Banga Agrarian Reform Community Cooperative (BARCCO).

The utility vehicle would be used by BARCCO, located in Barangay Malaya, for the delivery of their agricultural goods to the selected towns of South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat provinces.

Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer Lorna Garde said the vehicle was procured under the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty Program (EPAHPP), which was implemented by the department and other government agencies to help mitigate hunger and ensure food and nutrition security.

“Under EPAHPP, BARCCO signed a marketing agreement with the National Nutrition Council XII last n support to the Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program on which the cooperative will deliver dry goods, vegetables, and other meat products to its assigned municipalities,” Garde said.

Tutok Kainan aims to prevent stunting by giving nutritious food commodities to nutritionally at-risk pregnant women and children 6-23 months old.

“Take good care of the unit and please ensure that this will serve its purpose of improving your livelihood,” Garde said.

BARCCO Chairman Sandro Simora expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the unending support from the DAR as he ensured to keep the sustainability and functionality of the vehicle.

DAR nagkaloob ng utility vehicle sa grupo ng magsasaka sa South Cotabato

Banga, South Cotabato – Nagkaloob kamakailan ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) provincial office ng South Cotabato ng utility vehicle na nagkakahalaga ng Php300,000.00 sa Banga Agrarian Reform Community Cooperative (BARCCO).

Ang utility vehicle ay gagamitin ng BARCCO, na matatagpuan sa Barangay Malaya, upang ipanghatid ng mga produktong agrikultural sa mga piling bayan ng South Cotabato at Sultan Kudarat.

Ayon kay Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer Lorna Garde ang sasakyan ay naipagkaloob sa ilalim Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty Program (EPAHPP), kung saan ipinatutupad ito ng ahensiya at ng iba pang government agency upang maibsan ang kagutuman at maseguro ang food at nutrition security.

“Sa ilalim ng EPAHPP, ang BARCCO ay lumagda ng isang marketing agreement sa National Nutrition Council XII noong nakaraang bilang suporta sa Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program kung saan ang kooperatiba ay magtutustos ng mga dry good, vegetables at iba pang meat products sa mga naitalagang muisipalidad,” ani Garde.

Layunin ng Tutok Kainan na maiwasan ang pagkabansot sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng mga masustansyang pagkain sa mga kulang sa nutrisyon na mga buntis at mga bata mula 6-23 buwan.

“Alagaan ninyo ang sasakyan at seguruhin na maibibgay nito ang layuning mapabuti ang inyong pinagkakakitaan,” aniya.

Nagpasalamat naman si BARCCO Chairman Sandro Simora sa patuloy na pagbibigay-tulong ng DAR habang sineseguro niya ang pagpapanatili at maayos na lagay ng sasakyan.
