DAR Regional Office 02 now certified compliant to ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) standards

TUGUEGARAO CITY – The Department of Agrarian Reform Regional Office No. 02 (DARR02) through its dedicated and committed Officials and employees successfully complied with all the statutory and regulatory requirements of ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) standards conducted by TUV NORD Philippines, Inc. during the Stage 2 remote audit, today.

 

The scope of the ISO certification covers the major final outputs (MFOs) of DARR02 namely: Land Tenure Services, Agrarian Justice Delivery, Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability and Support to Operations.

TUV NORD Philippines, Inc., a certifying body with Philippine Accreditation Board-Department of Trade and Industry (PAB-DTI) verified the compliance of DARR02 in terms of implementation of ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) standards and its effectiveness in achieving customer satisfaction and organizational objectives.

According to Cagayan Valley Regional Director Samuel S. Solomero, one of the pillars of ISO is client focus.  Hence, if the Department immediately responds and provides quality service to our clients, attainment of satisfaction and fulfillment for both clients and employees are evident.

 

Due to the challenges of Covid-19, operations of DARR02 were affected, the ISO implementation has taken a backseat, however, now that we are slowly recovering from the pandemic, ISO of DARR02 shall already be in full swing, RD Solomero added.

 

Assistant Regional Director for Operations Alfredo B. Lorenzo said as a manifestation of support and jubilation: “I commend all employees for their excellent performance and hardwork. My sincerest gratitude to our internal auditors for their presence and sharing their expertise and knowledge and the best practices imparted by our external auditors, TUV NORD.

 

The DARR02 is now recognized as having a distinct class and at par with other national government agencies in delivering quality services to its clients. This will serve as a catalyst for the entire workforce to contribute in the success of this Administration in terms of countryside development.”

 

“We must embrace change and let us put to heart the benefits of ISO. This should form part of our daily routine” according to ARD for Administration Estrelita V. Go.

 

Regional Adjudicator Raul R. Tobias said that the ISO makes life easy for our clients and stakeholders.  Moreover, if we will undertake a streamlining of processes, effective and efficient services will be attained, he added.

 

DARR02 family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Neil Patrick Ordiales, Ms. Maria Luisa Sitchon and Ms. Kristabelle Aguilar, auditors from TUV NORD Philippines, Inc., for the smooth and orderly audit of processes and procedures of the Department.
