P789-k worth of farm implements to boost Sarangani farmers’ production

The turnover of farm implements to Busok-Baliton Communal Irrigators Association, Inc. (BBCIAI), located in Barangay Baliton, PaBurBaCa agrarian reform communities, to help them improve their farm production and agricultural activities.

Glan, Sarangani Province – A total of PhP 789,000 worth of farm implements was turned over by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to Busok-Baliton Communal Irrigators Association, Inc. (BBCIAI), located in Barangay Baliton, PaBurBaCa agrarian reform community, to help them improve their farm production and agricultural activities.

The provision of farm implements, which includes a collapsible dryer, knapsack sprayers, hand tractor, floating tiller, grass cutter, and heavy-duty weighing scale, is in line with the directive of DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III to intensify the intervention for support services.

BBCIAI Chairperson Paharlito Bolilo received the farm machinery and equipment on behalf of the farmers’ association.

“We are very thankful for the blessings you gave us. Our lack of equipment is a hindrance in enriching our farm lots during difficult seasons. With the support that you provided to us, I believe that we can produce more in the days to come,” he said.

Bolilo assured that all the farmers would be given obligations to take care of the farm implements and keep it in good condition.

The farm machines were provided under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project – Major Crop-based Block Farm Project, which aims to address food security amidst climate change by providing livelihood support in the form of farm machinery and equipment, farm inputs, and capacity development interventions.

Engineer Kaddafe Palao, project point-person, reminded the BBCIAI that they are the DAR’s partner in expanding support services to agrarian reform beneficiaries.

“These farm implements will be used to increase your rice farming productivity, coordinate with each other in managing these machineries and let’s help the province to achieve food sufficiency,” he said.

(BBCIAI) ang ipinagkaloob ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa Barangay Baliton, PaBurBaCa agrarian reform community, upang tulungan silang mapagbuti ang kanilang produksyon sa sakahan at mga aktibidad sa agrikultura.

Ang probisyon ng farm implements, na kinabibilangan ng collapsible dryer, knapsack sprayers, hand tractor, floating tiller , grass cutter, at heavy-duty weighing scale, ay alinsunod sa direktiba ni DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III na paigtingin ang interbensyon sa support service.

Tinanggap ni BBCIAI Chairperson Paharlito Bolilo ang mga farm machinery at equipment sa ngalan ng farmers’ association.

“Nagpapasalamat kami sa biyayang ibinigay ninyo. Ang kakulangan namin sa kagamitan ay naging balakid sa pagpapayaman ng aming mga sakahan sa panahon ng mga kalamidad. Sa suportang ibingay ninyo, naniniwala ako na mas marami na kaming maa-ani sa mga darating na araw,” aniya.

Sineguro ni Bolilo na ang mga magsasaka ay mabibigyan ng mga obligasyong alagaan ang mga farm implements at pananatilihin ang magandang kondisyon ng mga ito.

Ang mga makinarya ay ipinagkaloob sa ilalim ng Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project – Major Crop-based Block Farm Project, na naglalayong tugunan ang seguridad ng pagkain sa gitna ng pagbabago ng klima sa bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaloob ng suportang pangkabuhayan sa anyo ng mga makinarya at kagamitang pansaka, mga input sa sakahan, at mga interbensyon sa pagpapaunlad ng kapasidad.

Pinaalalahanan ni Project point-person Engineer Kaddafe Palao ang BBCIAI na ang DAR ay kanilang katuwang sa pagbibgay ng suportang serbisyo sa mga agrarian reform beneficiaries.

“Ang mga farm implements ay magagamit sa pagpapataas ng inyong produktibidad ng palay, magkaroon kayo ng koordinasyon sa pamamahala ng mga makinarya upang matulungan natin ang lalawigan na makamit ang kasapatan sa pagkain,” aniya.
